Waukesha Tattoo Company Body Piercing Policy

-You must be 18 years old or older with a valid state, military, or passport ID that proves your identity and age, to have any body piercing performed.

-A minor 4 to 17 years old may have ear piercing(s) performed with parent's valid ID and original birth certificate/legal guardianship papers (some restrictions apply, please call).

-A minor, 16 or 17 years of age, may have a body piercing performed (except nipples and genitals, MUST be at least 18 years old) as long as the following can be met:

-The minor MUST provide a valid state issued ID, driver’s license, temporary license, passport, or military ID. A school ID is NOT an acceptable form of ID. We do not accept school ID’s because they can easily be altered and do not provide a date of birth.

-A minor MUST be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian with their valid state issued ID, driver’s license, temporary license, passport, or military ID. If the parent and minor have different last names or addresses, we will need the minor’s original birth certificate along with the ID’s. In the case of legal guardianship, we require the original court papers stating so as well as the ID’s.

-NO exceptions.

-18 is the legal age for getting a tattoo in Wisconsin. No minors.

We go above and beyond to prevent the use of counterfeit identification and give parents peace of mind that their child’s safety is of the utmost importance to us.
